CDC extends no-sail order for cruises through Oct. 31

As cases of COVID-19 and associated deaths aboard cruises continue, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s ban on cruise ships has been extended another month, prompting Carnival Cruise Lines to cancel voyages for the year.

Pitts stepping down as S.C. Chamber of Commerce CEO

Ted Pitts, who has been in his current role since January 2015, is leaving to become president and CEO of Columbia-based commercial real estate firm Wilson Kibler. A nationwide search will be conducted for his replacement.
