5 businesses receive initial revolving loan funds

In September, Charleston announced it would be loaning out $850,000 to small businesses affected by the pandemic, in partnership with the Local Development Corp. The initial deployment of funds were handed out last month, and Mayor John Tecklenburg said more money is available.

The women’s tennis tournament made the decision to move forward this April without fans. The adjustment provides a safer environment for players, staff and partners without having to reconstruct a new facility before the start date on April 3.
