Nonprofit receives $55,000 grant for accelerator program

Increasing H.O.P.E. in North Charleston works with families, individuals and entrepreneurs to reverse the cycle of debt and build assets through investments, home ownership and business startups. The grant money will help launch its I-HOPE Accelerator Pilot Program.

The Greater Summerville/ Dorchester County Chamber of Commerce recognized the private university in North Charleston as the 2020 Large Business of the Year for its dedication, achievement and entrepreneurial spirit.

The Daniel Island Market & Eatery is now open, providing freshly baked pastries, coffee, smoothies, sandwiches and desserts. Wines, snacks and market items are also available for sale. The café is open from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. daily.
