Join the Friday Revue at the Arden Station
| Oh hi! Sammy J here from ABC Radio Melbourne Breakfast. I’m assuming you’ve heard of my big news this week (in case you missed it, this video sums it up) - but before I say goodbye to the station, I have one more bit of (less dramatic) news to share with you. This year, for our ABC Gives appeal, ABC Radio Melbourne is partnering with Foodbank Victoria and is calling on you to give hope, a hot meal and a school lunch to those in need. For every $1 you donate, Foodbank can provide two meals for those going through a hard time. I totally understand not everyone will be in a position to give. But for those who are, any amount – big or small – will help make a difference. If you’d like to contribute, you can visit the ABC Gives page today. Then, tune in to ABC Radio Melbourne’s Giveathon this Wednesday, November 20, on 774AM or on the ABC listen app. It’ll be a day full of fun, special guests, prizes and an opportunity to raise funds for Victorians in need. I will kick off the Giveathon on Breakfast from 5:30am, followed by Raf and Richelle’s live broadcast from Foodbank Victoria's warehouse. And the best part? I will kayak into Melbourne and cross with ABC Radio Melbourne throughout the day, so keep your radio on for the day of giving. And/or news of water-based rescue operations. Cheers, and with my sincere thanks for being the greatest audience in the southern hemisphere, Sammy | | |
