Welcome back, New Orleans food fans! This week, we hear from the owners of Turkey and the Wolf about their new project Uptown. Before the Rolling Stones rocked the Jazz Festival, front man Mick Jagger dined at Commander's Palace, while The Killers enjoyed Atchafalaya. A new festival called Brews, Boils and Bubbles makes its debut on the Lakefront this weekend. Creole Creamery introduces an unusual ice cream flavor, and it's Chelsea Shannon's job to try it out. Finally, Chef Kevin Belton's pork chop sheet pan dinner and baked spaghetti recipes make easy, filling dinners the kids will love. 1. Hot lunches. Featuring a hot line that serves a "meat-n-three," Hot Stuff is set to open on Maple Street in the former location of Favori Deli. It’s the latest sibling for the creative sandwich spot Turkey and the Wolf. Ian McNulty has a report from the new venture. 2. Cool customer. The Rolling Stones played a historic set on Thursday at the Jazz Festival. But first, legendary vocalist Mick Jagger popped in to Commander's Palace for dinner. We talked to the chef about Mick's visit, his menu choices and the gracious gift he left for her. 3. Wait! There's more. Not to be outdone, alternative rockers The Killers showed up at Atchafalaya during the festival. Brews, Boils & Bubbles is a new festival at the New Orleans Lakefront featuring boiled seafood and more. And dining reporter Chelsea Shannon braves a weird new flavor of ice cream at Creole Creamery. 4. Big appetites come home. Chef Kevin Belton has experience keeping hungry teens fed during summer vacation. Check out his easy, filling recipes for a pork chop sheet pan dinner and baked spaghetti.
