Summer is a time to try something new Seriously! A new drink, a new outdoor outing, or maybe a day at your favorite adventure-filled museum (that’s us).
The Science Museum of Minnesota has new exhibits, experiences, and Omnitheater movies so you can stay cool and learn about science this summer.
Plus, we have more open days, starting tomorrow: We’re now open Wednesday through Sunday. Cardboard City Presented by H.B. Fuller Foundation
Creating with corrugated materials and adding to an ever-changing free build? That’s what Cardboard City is all about! Sandhill cranes These majestic birds migrate thousands of miles to reach Minnesota. Christopher Lutter-Gardella, local artist and maker of the monarchs at Mall of America, captured their brilliant journey in the form of two giant cranes soaring through our lobby. What’s new at the Omnitheater? Oceans: Our Blue Planet takes you on a literal deep dive into the least explored place on Earth. Want a taste of the movie (or more info after you’ve seen it)? Check out Omnitheater Extras! Summer camps are in session Science-packed in-person and virtual camps are available for campers ages 6–8 and 9–12. We need a state fossil Minnesota is one of seven states without a fossil. But we want to change that. Check out the eight options we have so far or add your own suggestion. We can’t wait to find out which fossils you’re fired up about. Sponsored by
