Turning Hard Times into Good Times is Back - For Real This Time!Michael Oliver provides his latest views on stocks, bonds, gold and silver & more.
I am scheduled to reactivate “Turning Hard Times into Good Times” this coming Saturday morning with an interview with Michael Oliver, one of my favorite guests. Why the false start? Several weeks ago, I did an interview with Chen Lin and suggested then that my “radio show” was back. I did not realize at that time the extent of care my dear wife Teresa would require as she endured chemo treatment followed by a stem cell implant. To ensure I remained totally devoted to her care, I chose to postpone a return to Turning Hard Times into Good Times. Thanks be to God; she is recovering now to the point where the care she requires is considerably less. Many of you have sent your best wishes to Teresa and your prayers to our Creator for her recovery. We are both very grateful for that. As we age the reality of a future date with our Creator becomes intellectually and emotionally more real than in the days of our youth. That’s a blessing in that it requires us to use the finite time gifted to us to focus more on serving our Creator by loving and caring for whomever he places in our lives, whether we consider them friends or foes. I spent most of my professional life in banking from 1973 to 1997 and the past 43 years writing J Taylor’s Gold, Energy & Tech Stocks.I very much enjoy learning about exploration prospects of the companies I track in my letter and sharing those stories with my subscribers. I believe my purpose in life at the ripe age of 77 is to continue to help my wife in her recovery process and to help anyone in any way I can with whomever God places in my path. So, I plan to continue writing my letter and now to restartTurning Hard Times into Good Times. As noted above, I plan to kick off a renewal of my show Saturday morning with Michael Oliver who has been one of my most popular guests in the past. The podcast will be aired exclusively here on Substack and will be available to all of my subscribers. I can tell you as a reader of Michael’s newsletter, he sees nothing but blue sky overhead for gold and silver as well as the mining shares. He is bullish at least in the short term on long-dated U.S. Treasuries. But what about equities? Corporate debt? What about Bitcoin? Energy? Commodities in general? Be sure to keep an eye on your inbox so you are sure not to miss Michael’s latest views on those key market topics.
