It’s the final Insider of 2021 and I’d like to personally thank everyone for following another pulsating year of action with Motorsport.com.

At this time of year, it’s good to reflect on what’s gone before while looking forward to another season of our great sport. For some, like the Dakar Rally competitors, that journey is just about to unfold in Saudi Arabia, and we look forward to one of the most epic events on the calendar kicking off in just a few days’ time.

Meantime, Formula 1’s teams have been working hard on their 2022 contenders – and I can’t wait to see the new-look contenders emerge. There’s so much to look forward to, please enjoy the trip with us!
