I’m going to go out on a limb and assume that you will have more people than normal in your church next week. In addition to the regular attenders, you will probably have what some have called the “Christmas Christians,” those folks who, out of a sense of obligation or nostalgia, show up for church once a year.
It’s easy to be cynical about this phenomenon. But the truth is that even these annual visits represent a huge opportunity to reach people with the gospel. This week we’re featuring resources we hope will enable you to reconnect with these sporadic attenders and help them take the next step toward God. Our assessment, Turning Visitors into Attenders, will enable you to figure out the best way to follow up and impact the people who walk through your church doors. Also, check out Assimilating Visitors into Your Church. This download contains next steps for helping attenders go deeper once they start showing up more regularly.
