Jambo John!

“Whatever is in your way, is the way.”

So taught Matt Kahn during our recent launch of The Great Awakening.

Well, just yesterday I met this advice, in what might be the best metaphor, ever.

I was hiking Cerro del Toro in Manzanillo (Mexico), with 8 family members — headed 5 miles up a mountain filled with unknown twists, turns, and surprises.

My brother and sister were visiting and we were hundreds of yards behind the leaders of our party and hundreds of yards ahead of our “caboose,” and no one else was within sight or sound. Cell phone coverage was spotty.

Against all odds, we three in the middle, got lost! So, we circled back only to find our caboose had already passed the fork in the road where we thought we had made our mistake.

Our challenge was to figure out which fork on our path (of many) was the correct one to take. The most logical route, though highly improbable, was blocked by an old, large, rusty, barbed wire gate... 👇

I took a photo of the blocked path, and after a while of jumping high with my phone trying to catch a signal, my pic successfully carried the image to our missing group. Instantly, we heard back with prophetic words that will always remain with me: “Open the door.”
