Besides your life being turned upside down because of social distancing, what else have you noticed different about yourself?
Given most of us are aware that this is a time for reflection and introspection, which can feel like one more “to-do” list item, I’m finding that even without such efforts, I’ve found a new rhythm in my life, a new appreciation for the simpler pace, and I’ve actually enjoyed not rushing out on weekends to deliver some AMAZING experience to my daughter—like going to Disney World (I live in Orlando) or playing putt putt golf. Instead, we climb more trees (she, not me), go on more bike rides, and watch more movies, at home, side-by-side.
The lesson being, my life is auto-correcting (albeit due to the quarantine), and tasks like reflection and introspection are happening automatically.
A-h-h-h-h… It was always supposed to be like this: effortless, when we stop “trying so hard.” And it took a virus for me to allow this?!
I know I’m privileged. Still, I think there’s a lesson for all in not trying so hard, including when it comes to surrendering and “being more spiritual.”
To your effortless discoveries,
