Do you ever compare yourself to others? Not proud to tell you that I have, which leads to feelings of inadequacy or thinking “I need to change,” and then a little self-loathing.
Here are two thoughts to help you get past this...
1) You can only be a better you; someone nobody else could ever be. There will always be others more accomplished (admirable, lovable, or whatever you’ve been focusing on), using one measure, but that measure is not what your life is about. You have far more going on, making a fair comparison impossible. No one in your shoes could do better than you’ve done.
2) As the Universe once pointed out, ask yourself if you’d actually like to be “your idol” (in every single way)... and chances are great your envy will be cured! Nobody has it “going on” like you.
Be patient, your “day” is coming. You have what it takes to be as happy as you dream of being.
Hope our paths cross soon!
