As a teacher, I’ve been comforted to learn that one of my biggest life challenges, isn’t mine alone: Having big dreams, yet no idea of where to begin, and feeling that my tiny little baby-steps simply won’t amount to much, soon enough. I especially feel this way when I begin writing a new book... even though I’ve made my way through 15 of them! (Dang it, Mike...)
I’ve also learned this trick about succeeding, even if you have overwhelming uncertainty and low self-confidence:
Just start, do anything, andkeep on doing it until something better comes along.
For me, something better never came along, until I finished what I started and found it was what I was doing all along.
Truly, in hindsight, succeeding is pretty easy.
