This week’s get-together will feature special guests, Diana Horowitz, CRO and Co-COO of Driver Studios, and Jesse Redniss, CEO of Qonsent, exploring the issue of Brand Safety with co-hosts, Tracy Swedlow (ITVT/TVOT) and Colin Dixon (nScreenMedia).


“The term ‘Brand Safety,’” Jesse writes, “means many things to different parties and businesses today. For the Video Publisher and MadTech world, this term can apply to:
 

  • Sensitive content (sexual, religious, age-restricted etc..) environments
  • political content
  • COPPA-compliant
  • HIPAA-compliant
  • Sensitive location data and information
  • The impact of PII data collection and privacy legislation on advertising, marketing and audience development.


Navigating through these issues is no small task and can have a major impact on your CTV and Streaming Video business strategy and operations. In this session, we’ll explore some of these topics and discuss:

  • Various technologies and strategies being deployed.
  • How should we understand the evolving world of COPPA, and what are best-in-class examples of what works?
  • How does the rise in CTV and co-viewing change the game and create new opportunities?

TVOT CONNECT is a new, weekly, online, TV-industry membership community from ITVT/TVOT and nScreenMedia that aims to encourage conversation, debate, networking and collaboration across all sectors of the advanced-TV space.

TVOT CONNECT sessions take place on Thursdays at 2:00PM Eastern/11:00AM Pacific using Zoom. Members first have an opportunity to briefly introduce themselves, their current work and their areas of expertise; this is followed by an interview with one or more prominent industry leaders, featuring audience Q&A; finally, members are able to access discussion rooms where they can share their thoughts on the day’s interview and network with their peers.


In addition, one session per month features the presentation of new, original research by Colin Dixon, Founder and Chief Analyst of nScreenMedia.
