As I write this, Meta’s new challenger to Twitter, Threads, has 100 million subscribers, an average of 20 million a day since it was released five days ago. Reports suggest it’s growing faster than ChatGPT. Depending on which analyst you believe, Twitter’s traffic was down by between 5% and 11% in the two days after Threads launched.
