#1   Twitter Signs Deal with Pac-12 Networks
    Pac-12 Networks announced that it has signed an agreement with Twitter to live stream events from UCLA, USC and the other 10 schools in the conference. At least 150 games will be streamed live over Twitter during the 2016-17 academic year.
Why This Matters: The deal covers school-produced Olympic sporting events such as soccer, baseball, volleyball, gymnastics, swimming and diving.

#2   Dish Launches Its Voice Remote
    Dish Network launched its Voice Remote, a $30 product that also features backlighting and a clickable touchpad for “swipe and scroll navigation.”
Why This Matters: Dishs new Voice Remote, which is about half the size of its traditional remote control, is compatible with the recently launched Hopper 3 whole-home DVR and 4K Joey set-top boxes and can control up to two IR devices.

#3   Sky Lights Up Ultra-HD on Sky Q
    European Pay-TV giant Sky will start transmitting 4K content Aug. 13, via its SkyQ platform.
Why This Matters: The service will offer Premier League football, exclusive films, natural history documentaries and dramas in Ultra-HD. Skys UHD offering will initially offer a resolution of 38402160 pixels at 50 frames per second.
