The 2022 RCGS Silent Auction offers fabulous opportunities to experience Canadian and international travel destinations offered by exceptional travel operators, wilderness photography by RCGS's own Photographers-in-Residence, outdoor guided experiences by RCGS's own Explorers-in-Residence and so much more.
This year, our goal is to raise more than $175,000 and we greatly appreciate all of the support from our generous partners who have donated, and the generosity of auction bidders in making this goal a reality.
Reaching our goal will allow RCGS and Canadian Geographic to deliver critical Can Geo Education programming. Here are a few examples: - Canadian Geographic Education to create, produce and distribute bilingual lesson plans on 30 topics to teachers across Canada - Canadian Geographic Education to create, produce and distribute 40 ESRI story maps that take students on a journey using Can Geo cartography, text, audio and video. These are distributed nationally - Canadian Geographic Editorial to create, produce and distribute 60 interview-based podcasts for Canadians to learn and gain access to stories of geographical relevance across the country - Canadian Geographic Education to collaborate on the creation of Giant Floor Maps that are distributed to schools across Canada
The Royal Canadian Geographical Society gratefully acknowledges the generosity of those who donated trips, experiences and items to support our fundraising efforts. |
