| Hello. Authorities have confirmed at least two people died after a small plane crashed into a residential street in San Diego. We bring you the latest. Also, my colleagues at BBC Verify have fact-checked some of the claims made during the meeting between US President Donald Trump and South African leader Cyril Ramaphosa. And finally, a woman finds a perfectly round chicken egg. | |

TOP OF THE AGENDA | Dozens evacuated after plane crash |
|
| | Several houses were damaged and cars caught fire in the plane crash, authorities said. Credit: Getty Images | Residents of the Murphy Canyon neighbourhood of San Diego, California, said they woke up to a loud boom sound. Emergency responders who arrived at the scene shortly after 3.45am local time described a street full of cars on fire after a small plane crashed in the residential area. At least two people have been confirmed dead, while eight others were injured and 10 buildings were damaged, with one home destroyed. Around 100 people were evacuated, but some are expected to be able to return home in the evening. Among the unknowns, for now, is the identity of the victims and the cause of the crash. |

| YOUR QUESTIONS ANSWERED | Fact-checking Trump on South Africa |
|
| | Cyril Ramaphosa was the first African leader to be welcomed to the White House since the start of Donald Trump's second term. | At a meeting in the Oval Office on Wednesday, Trump confronted Ramaphosa with footage and news clippings intended to support claims that white farmers in South Africa are being persecuted. My colleagues at BBC Verify have taken a look at what the facts really show. |

| What has Trump said about a "white genocide"? | In the meeting, Trump said: "We have many people that feel they're being persecuted, and they are coming to the US, so we take from many locations if we feel there's persecution or genocide going on." He has previously made claims about "white genocide" and appeared to be referring to that. At a press briefing earlier this month he said: "It's a genocide that's taking place" referring to killing of white farmers in South Africa. | What do South Africa's crime rates show? | The country has one of the highest murder rates in the world. There were 26,232 murders last year, according to police figures. Of these, 44 were killings of people within the farming community and eight of those, were of farmers. These figures are not broken down by race in any public data that we've been able to locate - but they clearly don't provide evidence for the claims of "white genocide". In February, a South African judge dismissed the idea of a genocide as "not real". | Are there sources for crimes against white farmers? | The Transvaal Agricultural Union (TAU), which represents farmers, compiles figures which offer an insight into the racial identity of the victims based on media reports, social media posts and reports from their members. Their figures for last year show 23 white people were killed in farm attacks, and nine black people. So far this year TAU has recorded three white people and four black people killed on South African farms. | | At the scene: The man who organised a display of white crosses in South Africa told reporter Pumza Fihlani that the US president was wrong when he described it as a "burial site". South Africa's reaction: Right-wing Afrikaner groups celebrated Trump's ambush of Ramaphosa, others are less impressed. Analysis: Chief North America correspondent Gary O'Donoghue examines Ramaphosa's diplomatic strategy. | |

And finally... in the UK | A woman in England looking to make a quick meal was surprised to find a spherical chicken egg among the ones she was boiling. What are the chances? Some claim it's "one in a billion" - but in fact, round eggs aren't that rare, they just don't make it into consumers' hands that often. See what one looks like and hear more about the shape of eggs from Radio Suffolk. | |
