Chaka Khan's Meltdown takes over the Southbank Centre The UK's longest running artist-curated music festival is back! And when it comes to putting together an utterly euphoric line-up spanning jazz, R&B, soul and more, ain't nobody does it better than Chaka Khan.... Chaka Khan's Meltdown kicks off at the Southbank Centre on Friday 14 June with a hotly-anticipated greatest hits concert from the Queen of Funk herself, celebrating her unparalleled 50-year career. Over the next ten days, you've got the chance to discover artists as diverse as Khan's discography, alongside internationally renowned acts including Emeli SandΓ© and Todrick Hall. From pan-African feminist supergroup Les Amazones dβAfrique to the acid jazz stylings of Incognito, to 13-time Grammy nominated singer-songwriter Bruce Hornsby, if your music taste leans eclectic, you're in for a real treat. It's a fantastic programme for party animals, too β with the likes of Norman Jay, Adonis and Queer Bruk providing late night revelry. There are plenty of free events as well!
