When a child has a bad day at school, it often puts teachers and parents in communication with one another. And depending on the relationship between the two, misunderstandings and conflict can occur. 

On today’s show, we talked about those tricky interactions. My guests helped explain what happens when teachers and parents make mistakes as they try to resolve challenges with a student and how to improve that communication. ~  Angela Davis, MPR News host

Two Minnesota first-term Democratic reps want impeachment investigation of Trump
DFL U.S. Rep. Angie Craig said Monday that impeachment proceedings should begin “immediately, fairly and impartially.” It was a change from what she said Saturday. DFL U.S Rep. Dean Phillips also moved toward supporting impeachment hearings.

Former Archbishop Harry Flynn dies at age 86
The Archdiocese of St. Paul and Minneapolis is mourning the death former Archbishop Harry Flynn, who passed away Sunday evening at the age of 86.

Klobuchar charts moderate course in Iowa as new poll results are released

Father says son may have sought deadly police confrontation
The father of Brian Quinones, a Twin Cities man who was shot to death by police on Sept. 8, says his son may have been trying to attract police attention as he drove, and may have been seeking a confrontation with officers.
