Greetings!

It's starting to get messy out there in terms of flight delays and cancellations (see below) and it's only going to get worse thanks to Tropical Storm Nicole. She's about to hit Florida and make her way up the east coast. In fact, she's altered my plans; I was planning on surprising my dad in Connecticut on Saturday but saw the storm is expected to arrive there and I don't want to deal with the mess.

✈️ Today's Travel Outlook 

As of 12:30pm PT, there have been 946 canceled flights to/from or within the United States and 1,583 delayed. As you can see from the FAA's National Airspace System map above, many Florida airports are closed. Here's a link to the up-to-date stats and here's what to do during weather delays and flight cancellations.

Two Scams Currently Making the Rounds That Everyone Should Know About
These days, with the influx of emails, text messages, robocalls and in-person pleas for help, you really have to be on your guard every time you receive one. I mean, there are times my phone rings and the caller ID says my own name and it takes me a second to realize it’s a scam. Personally, I don’t click links, open attachments, accept Facebook requests or answer the calls unless I know for sure who it is and that it's safe to do so.
