Chocolate whipped cream on top of a chocolate milkshake!
Here's what not to do! Don't skimp. Consider adding more flavor, not less.

Consider substitutes. You may like them better. We do, at least in many recipes.
Here are some that we love:

  • Caramel. For us, caramel is the new vanilla. You'll love caramel whipped cream.
  • French Vanilla. You may know it as birthday cake flavor. Because it's not real vanilla, it's cheaper.
  • New York Vanilla. It has more of a liqueur flavor. Again, it's not real vanilla.
  • Brown Sugar Flavor. Love it! It doesn't taste like brown sugar flavor to me. It's a warm, soft background flavor that goes delightfully well with cinnamon.
It's amazing what you can make--like peanut butter or strawberry cheesecake whipped cream.
With a whipped cream base instead of butter, it's so much better--and much less calorific--than buttercream.
The cake is baked in a 9x13-inch pan and the frosting is whipped cream.
