Two women find they are victims of smash and grab thefts at Home Depot: Highland Heights Police Blotter
Two women exited Home Depot Feb. 12 to discover that windows on their vehicles had been broken out and their cars had been entered. The only item of value reported stolen was a bag containing diabetic supplies.

Man receiving confusing threats from gangster incarcerated in Maryland: Mayfield Heights Police Blotter
A man reported Feb. 5 that he received threatening text and calls from a possible gangster who told him he was going to pay for what he did to his niece. He said the man would not say who his niece was. He said he also found a tire slashed on his car when he got off work at the juvenile detention center and his girlfriend said the photo from the man’s Instagram account appeared to be taken at the bank where she is employed.

Crashed vehicle located with no driver in sight: Gates Mills Police Blotter
Officers located an unoccupied vehicle facing eastbound in the westbound lanes of the divided roadway around 1:30 a.m. Feb. 4.The vehicle was damaged, and a nearby stop sign was knocked over indicating that it had been struck by the vehicle. The vehicle was towed, and officers finally connected with the registered owner later that morning. The Cleveland Heights man, 33, claimed he was distracted by his GPS and crashed into the stop sign.
