Down the GT Rabbit Hole
The massive merger between Tyler Technologies and NIC has been an internal conversation at the “highest levels” for more than a decade. The move follows Tyler’s 2018 acquisition of data powerhouse Socrata, and the company’s record-setting revenue year in 2019. In 2020 the company made it to the S&P 500 — a rarity for a company in the gov tech space. Meanwhile, NIC has been on its own path to success with Gov2Go software products available in all 50 states.
