Every test plan should reflect their product's uniqueness. ARL has the technical staff who knows product testing, and they know that there's not always a test readily available for every product. Keeping that in mind, the team developed a keyboard that is capable of simulating over 1 million keystrokes in just 74 days of operating time. They had a goal of capturing years of wear and tear and achieved realistic results through randomized inputs. Custom testing is best at discovering specific insights that other tests aren't designed for.
