| The Agency for UK REACH has published a final opinion on the below application for authorisation. Reference: AFA022-01
Applicant: TCL Manufacturing Ltd (trading as Perrin & Rowe)
Substance: Chromium trioxide (EC: 215-607-8, CAS: 1333-82-0)
Use: Industrial use of chromium trioxide for functional chrome plating with decorative character for sanitaryâ¯applications. HSE sent the final opinion to the Appropriate Authorities on 30 June 2023. HSE sent the final opinion to the appropriate authorities on 30 June 2023.
The Defra Secretary of State with the consent of the appropriate authorities has 6 months from receipt of the final opinion in which to make a decision on whether to grant the authorisation.
