Credit: AP | Senior Russian general Igor Kirillov – who was responsible for the Russian army’s chemical weapons– has been killed in Moscow by a remotely detonated bomb apparently hidden in an electric scooter. The Ukrainian Security Service (SBU) was behind the operation, a source in the service tells the BBC. Russia has called the killing a "terrorist act". Recently, Ukraine's security service announced Kirillov had been charged with committing a war crime in absentia for the "mass use" of prohibited chemical weapons in Ukraine. |
