Celebrating Pava

Happy Thursday, Baltimore. While we have an assortment of end-of-year events between Baltimore and DC in an article below, today, I’m also noting a special event very specific to Baltimore — and someone passionate about its future.

Come Dec. 9, folks can join the LaPere and EcoMap Technologies families in commemorating the life and legacy of Pava LaPere. Their upcoming celebration of life aims to offer an opportunity for the Baltimore tech community to come together, share cherished memories and honor the legacy of a special individual.

This event is scheduled for Saturday, Dec. 9 from 2:30 to 4:30 p.m. at Johns Hopkins University’s Homewood Campus (3400 N. Charles St., Baltimore).

Those interested can register here. In the meantime, please feel free to contribute your sentiments and favorite photos on Pava's Kudoboard

In addition, EcoMap’s cofounder and new CEO Sherrod Davis is nominated for this year’s Technical.ly Awards in reflection of his upholding Pava’s legacy while showing leadership through this difficult time. If you wish to vote for him, or any other Technical.ly Award nominee across the five awards categories, you may do so here until voting closes tonight.
