Israeli start-up Sonovia Ltd. engineered a unique reusable mask with antiviral properties that are guaranteed to last over a year. In the wake of the coronavirus pandemic, Sonovia applied its anti-microbial technology to a line of PPE face masks that kills bacteria and fungi on contact. Sonovia’s mask has been tested in laboratories, which successfully corroborated that its unique and permanent fabric impregnation of Zinc oxide nanoparticles have a strong anti-viral effect and have successfully eliminated over 90% of COVID-19 particles. Once treated, the SonoMask maintains its chemical properties for over 90 industrial washing cycles.
