Good morning from Palm Springs! It's nice and toasty out here with temperatures reaching 108F. We don't go out for long during the day but the mornings and evenings are quite nice.

Last week, I mentioned I was flying to New York to see my childhood friends in nearby Connecticut. But when the weather turned bad and my dad found out I was only going to escort him, he talked me out of it at LAX, even though I was already on the plane. Here's that crazy story.
