Unity for "Purple Churches"

I don’t envy pastors right now. In the midst of this contentious election, they have the tough task of leading Christians on both sides of the political aisle.

This is especially true of leaders of “purple churches,” congregations that contain a sizable number of both red and blue voters. As Daniel Silliman reports, in these kinds of the churches, the problem isn’t always open conflict. Pastors say it’s simply that “They part ways. And they sort themselves by political preference.” Read the article to see what pastors in these churches are doing to remain faithful to the gospel while fostering unity.

Speaking of unity, church unity starts with unity in your leadership team. Cultivating Team Unity is a resource to help your staff and volunteers get on the same page in a healthy way—and stay there.
