Schneider Electric North America is addressing the talent shortage by hiring veterans and employees returning from career breaks, writes HR leader Mai Lan Nguyen. The company partners with federal programs to offer internships to veterans, with more than 80% of participants moving to full-time roles, and has a high retention rate for employees who return from career breaks.

The US economy added 151,000 jobs to nonfarm payrolls last month, and the unemployment rate edged upward to 4.1%, according to the Labor Department. The job gain was higher than in January but below the Dow Jones consensus forecast of 170,000.
