KQED honored two major commemorations of Japanese internment during World War II: the KQED premiere of the new documentary And Then They Came For Us by filmmakers Abby Ginzberg and Ken Schneider, featuring George Takei, and a historical photography exhibit, opening Jan 18, at the Presidio.
The filmmakers joined the affair, along with civil rights advocate Karen Korematsu, Don Tamaki and Jonathan Logan who have been integral champions in remembering this cautionary chapter in American history.
