Resolving Ambiguities Between 3D Virtual Models and the Real World
Wednesday, December 18, 11 AM-12:30 PM Eastern

The transportation sector is advancing towards full digital product delivery and digital as-built objectives within civil infrastructure. This transformation is driven by the goal of a fully end-to-end digital, asset-centric, interoperable data flow. However, current methodologies still rely on outdated concepts, such as 2D/1D plans and profile/cross-section sheets, which are disconnected from modern construction goals that demand the integration of open building information modeling (BIM) and digital twin technologies. This webinar will raise awareness within the department of transportation (DOT) community about the critical need to resolve ambiguities between virtual 3D models and real-world conditions.
