Updates to HazCom proposed, comment period ends April 19

On February 16, the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) proposed rules to modify the Hazard Communication Standard (HCS) to conform to the United Nations’ Globally Harmonized System of Classification and Labelling of Chemicals (GHS) Revision 7, which is more current than the version of the GHS that’s incorporated into the existing HCS.

And Medscape’s new study “'Death by 1000 Cuts': Medscape National Physician Burnout & Suicide Report 2021,” which measures burnout rates during the coronavirus pandemic, points to an issue that can no longer be ignored. The study asked 12,000 physicians about burnout, suicide, and stress between August 30 and November 5, 2020.
