Upstate Carolina Radiology joins national group

Upstate Carolina Radiology has become a partner company with US Radiology Specialists, which announced today that the new partnership with the physician-owned provider will strengthen the larger group's presence in South Carolina.

Cohn to serve as new chair of SCETV

Richard Cohn, chairman of Columbia-based general contractor Cohn Corp., is the new chair of South Carolina Educational Television. Cohn will oversee SCETV planning for the upcoming year.

Beautification grants awarded in Spartanburg

Keep OneSpartanburg Beautiful this week announced the first six recipients of Community Impact grants designed to fund beautification projects across Spartanburg County. Winning projects ranged from new signs to community cleanup efforts. In all, $14,565 in grants were awarded countywide.

Bobby Lyons and Chris Schweighart of Lyons Industrial Properties represented the buyer, Gimeco USA, in the purchase of a 10,000-square-foot industrial facility in Spartanburg. Tim Satterfield of CB Caine Commercial represented the seller, Southport Property Investors LLC. Gimeco USA's parent company, which is based in Milan, Italy, plans to use the property to establish its North American headquarters for a zinc-galvanizing business.
