Designing Water's Future - Circle of Blue and Northwestern University What does it take to design water's future? |
|
In the face of mounting global water crises, scientists, systems change experts, journalists and policy, business and economic leaders came together to map new ways to design water’s future. |

Dear John — We're happy to share the report and video highlights from the event, Designing Water's Future: Urgent Strategies for a Water Insecure World. What are the key elements of systems change that can be put in motion with speed, urgency, and coordination to address the world’s water crises? That’s the question Circle of Blue, Northwestern University and experts from around the world addressed February 12, 2025 during the interactive virtual session. We were joined by leaders from the Global Commission on the Economics of Water, World Bank, Pacific Institute, TIME Magazine, Globescan, The Value Web, Exeter University, and Dalberg Catalyst to explore systems change at scale as the world faces accelerating water crises that are disrupting social, environmental and economic stability worldwide. This is part of series of workshops, from Davos to New York, to set gears in motion for a global collaborative initiative curated by Circle of Blue and partners. Watch thehighlights from the program and read the event summary here. What will it take to change course with speed and scale? What's holding us back? We look forward to hearing from you — and to sharing more. One thing is for certain. Incremental is not an option. |
