The BBGV has recently received a cry for help from a friend in the HCMC community regarding the plight of a 2 year-old boy who needs urgent medical attention. Oleksandr Arutin is in need of surgery to remove a tumour in his brain. On May 21st he was diagnosed, and while the tumour is benign, it is too large to ignore and according to the physicians treating him, must be removed as soon as possible. Oleksandr needs this surgery in 2-4 weeks. Quotes from international hospitals in the region (Aus., Singapore, Hong Kong) are estimating $60,000-$90,000 USD for the surgery. Unfortunately, Vietnamese medical insurance is unable to be used abroad. We have been able to do some due diligence, medical reports can be accessed here.
