Hello, Thursday is when we round-up all the best of our lifestyle content. US burger chain Five Guys will soon begin work on its new Preston restaurant after plans were approved by the city council. Five Guys can now get started on transforming the former Frankie and Benny's restaurant at Deepdale Retail Park after Preston City Council gave the go-ahead this week. We’ve got the latest on other new eateries too as excitement is growing about the new Hickory’s Smokehouse in Hutton and Preston’s Mowgli - which is planning a large outdoor dining area when it opens next month. Foodies will be interested to know that a Lancashire restaurant has been named the best in England while we paid a visit to Silk Route in Preston for our latest ‘Eating Out’ column. Finally, a gym at Preston North End’s Deepdale stadium will shut permanently next month, it has been confirmed.
