Following on from Telstra’s less than impressive half year financial results last week, more bad news has emerged in the telecoms space with two more companies reporting not so good results.

Technology solutions company Hills Limited has seen a fall in revenue for the first six months of fiscal 2017, recording a figure of $157.3 million compared to $164.1 million for the corresponding period in the previous fiscal year.

The cost of global expansion has thrown data operator and interconnection services provider Megaport into a net loss of $13.7 million to the end of December on total revenues of $4.59 million for the six months.

A number of the world's largest tech and finance companies and their leaders are part of a group behind a global war on cash, it has been claimed.

Kacific Broadband Satellites has ordered its Kacific-1 satellite from Boeing after a successful US$147 million capital raising from Australian retail investors to fund the satellite purchase as well as launch services, ground systems and all other project costs.

Virtual Reality penetration will reach 25.5% of Australian households by 2021 based on attachment rates of headsets to VR capable smartphones, games consoles and higher end gaming PCs, according to a new research study.
