The University of South Carolina plans to expand its economic development activity in the Upstate with the addition of a new executive in the school's Office of Innovation, Partnerships and Economic Engagement.

Former SCANA CEO pleads guilty to federal fraud charges

Kevin Marsh pleaded guilty Wednesday to conspiracy to commit mail and wire fraud related to the failed V.C. Summer nuclear reactor project. Marsh faces up to five years in prison and a fine of up to $250,000. 

Three Greenville filmmakers awarded at Beaufort Film Festival

Filmmakers from Los Angeles to New York gathered at the Beaufort International Film Festival from Feb. 15 to 19, but all three of the South Carolina moviemakers honored with an award at the end of the week hailed from Greenville. Winning entries included Invitation to the Dance, ProDogTv and Electric Jesus.
