Use Matching Storage Containers In Kitchen

A stack of different storage containers.The sugar came in a 5 lb. paper bag. The cocoa came in a round tin. The dark brown sugar came in a plastic bag. The light brown sugar came in a paper box. Imagine storing these conveniently, side by side.

Soaking Labels off Glass Jars

larger soaking jar, smaller jar with label removedI reuse all the glass jars in my house for everything from gifts to storage. I found a way to soak the labels off without having to fill your whole sink. Just fill a larger jar with the smaller one you want cleaned. Put a drop of dish washing liquid in the smaller jar and fill with very hot water.

Organizing and Identifying Yarn StashI like to ball my yarn when I get it. I always save the wrappers to go back for size of skeins, color, or washing instructions. I found though that sometimes I couldn't match up the label with the yarn I was working on until I came up with the idea of how to solve that problem.
