Letter from the Editor
It looks like the pandemic has had a significant effect on patients, as some providers are no longer participating in some health plans due to changes in reimbursement for chronic disease care. If you are one of these prescribers who have had to make a change, you may find that some of your patients are not going to be able to come to you. If you add this to the fact that many people have had to change coverage plans due to layoffs or business closings or new jobs, there is even a greater chance that they will unwillingly have to change their provider selection.
This week one of our many contributing practitioners shares their experience with a long term patient that was forced to change plans, and how she advised the patient on how to move forward.
