Situational Analysis | April 22, 2024 It's Monday and Earth Day! ð Passover begins at sundown tonight, during a somber time for Jewish people the world over. Also, happy birthday yesterday to Sen. Scott Sandall. ð ð ð What you need to know - The Utah County GOP held their nominating convention on Saturday. Sklyer Beltran is the convention nominee for county commissioner and will face Jay Ugarte, who gathered signatures, in the June primary. Lisa Shepherd is the party nominee for HD61 and will face Provo City Councilman Travis Hoban in the primary and in HD58, David Shallenberger is the party nominee and will face Holly Sweeten in the primary. Delegates also passed a resolution calling for Utah to resign from the Electronic Registration Information Center (ERIC).
