A few days ago, my mother reminded me that daylight savings is right around the corner. I do not have a good track record with daylight savings, and I will likely not change any of my clocks for at least a month. In fact, I would be perfectly happy to just get rid of it.

My apologies in advance to any of you who plan on meeting up with me within the next few weeks.

Qualtrics on the block, again, with $12.4B deal pending

Qualtrics investor Silver Lake is in exclusive talks with the Utah-based customer experience software giant in consideration of a $12.4 billion purchase offer. An SEC filing became public Monday, offering details of Silver Lake’s bid, in partnership with the Canada Pension Plan Investment Board, to return Qualtrics to private ownership via an $18.15 per share cash offer.

Qualtrics also made headlines in 2018 when German software giant SAP acquired it for $8 billion — which at the time, was the highest-valued acquisition ever for a venture-backed software company.

IOC confirms ‘6 regions’ seeking a Winter Games but won’t name 2 additional bidders

Sweden? Spain? Canada? Japan? It appears Utah has some contenders for the 2030 and 2034 Winter Olympics. The International Olympic Committee confirmed Monday that “confidential discussions” are underway with six locations about hosting a future Winter Games, but gave no further details as to who the potential bidders are.
