News you need to know

President Biden is expected to recognize the massacre of Armenians as genocide. It's a big deal. Turkey is not impressed, as they have spent more than 100 years denying that a genocide occurred. As the head of ALEC, Utah Senate President Stuart Adams wants to lead a multi-state effort to rein in social media companies. Legal experts say that's unconstitutional. The Senate voted 51-49 yesterday to confirm Vanita Gupta as associate attorney general, the third ranking official at the Department of Justice. Sen. Lisa Murkowski was the only Republican to vote for Gupta's confirmation. The NRA launched a $2 million campaign to oppose Biden gun-control agenda, even as its leaders are called to testify in the second week of a bankruptcy trial. House Republicans' recently unveiled their Energy Innovation Agenda: "Our solutions promote innovation, invest in clean energy infrastructure, and outline initiatives in natural solutions and conservation," said House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy.
