Situational awareness - April 22, 2019

Good Monday morning from Salt Lake City

Here's what is driving the day:

  • Lawmakers are discussing a possible compromise on election laws
  • Lee says it would be a "mistake" for Democrats to impeach Trump
  • Trump's approval ratings fall after the release of the Mueller report

Trivia time!

Friday's trivia question was a real doozy. Not a single reader submitted a correct answer, the first time that has happened.

Along with Utah, the five other states where a major party has never nominated a woman for governor are:

  • Minnesota
  • Mississippi
  • New York
  • Ohio
  • Tennessee

If you'd like to submit a Friday question, send your submissions to me at bschott@utahpolicy.com.
