Chris Stewart suggested Monday night that State Department employees who are providing testimony in the impeachment inquiry into President Donald Trump are part of a "deep state" that is betraying the Constitution. President Donald Trump urged Republicans to "get tougher" and defend him against Democratic impeachment efforts [Washington Post].

Democrats in Congress say the impeachment inquiry into President Donald Trump may take much longer than some initially expected as the scope of the probe continues to widen [CNN].
