Obama to Declare Bears Ears Monument on Wednesday Afternoon

Sources tell UtahPolicy.com that President Barack Obama will declare a Bears Ears National Monument Wednesday afternoon.

The Sources indicate to UtahPolicy.com the size of the monument will cover 1.35 million acres. That's far less than the 1.9 million acres that environmental groups were asking for. It's even less than the 1.4 million acres that were designated for protection under Rep. Rob Bishop's Public Lands Initiative he unveiled earlier this year.
