See you on Slack

Howdy! I'm Beth Ann Downey, Technical.ly's new engagement manager. Some of you might have already seen my byline or my posts in Slack — or even met me IRL (what a concept) — but to the vast majority of you, hello. I'm so happy to be here serving and engaging this incredible community of technologists, entrepreneurs, et al.

Here at Technical.ly, our goal is to bring you all together, and do so in a way that our organization can act as a catalyst more so than a gatekeeper. That’s evidenced in a new partnership announced last week that is the first co-branded channel in Technical.ly's community Slack workspace: our new #ux channel launched alongside our friends at PhillyCHI.

We knew that providing a home for this organization to gather within our existing 3,000-plus member community — along with built-in opportunities to connect with other UX design professionals across Technical.ly markets — would be a win-win for all involved. We’re always here as a resource for our community, whether it’s with our journalism, events, special projects, or just the fact that we’re truly only ever one email or Slack DM away.

Have you been looking for a place to interact and network with other UX professionals? Come check out the new channel along with all that our Slack community has to offer.

Have other ideas that you think Technical.ly could be a part of or help spearhead? The floodgates are open. Reach out any time to discuss.
